Caption Nerds is built on the idea that access matters, and that it should work in real life—not just on paper. We provide human-powered CART captioning because accuracy, accountability, and lived experience matter. That same thinking carries over to this website.
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as our baseline, and we work toward making this site usable for as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies. In practice, that means clear structure, consistent navigation, color contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards for all text and interactive elements, alt text on images, and language that doesn't require translation just to understand what we do.
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Not everything is perfect, and we're always learning. If something doesn't work the way you need it to, or if you need information in a different format, please reach out. We take that feedback seriously, will respond within 5 business days, and will do our best to fix the issue or provide what you need.
